more than you ever know
I need you to believe me when i tell you the truth
that night I was scared i did not know what to do
I do not know what to tell you
i wonder if you will believe me
or think I m making it up

I wanted to talk to you so bad last night
I could not ,I was scared I m hurt
it was not my fault i swear
please do not look at me and shake your head
I want to cry
it hurts me inside
I do not know how to make the words come out
of what happened that night
when i was gone for hours on end
I told you that the bruises on my body were because i feel down a flight of stairs
thats not true it was not the stairs
I did not just disappear that night . I wanted to come home
I could not scream opened my mouth nothing came out
tears rolled down my face

oh mom I need you to know what happened that night
I disappoint you I see it in your eyes ,I can tell
I have secrets I dare not tell
in fear of not being believed

I got in the house that morning
you were sleeping
kids were awake
they let me in
April what happened to your face ?
nothing be good a go watch t.v
thats what I told them .
I went to my room lied in my bed
closed my eyes cried silently
I feel asleep ,you yelled at me that day all i could way say I m sorry . You would not ever understand
as the tears came rolling down my face

I need to you believe me mom
It happened a while ago but I need you to know what happened that night in that field was not my fault
I need you to know please believe me
