A Perfect Scale

by Eric Muhlenfeld   Jun 2, 2005

Sometimes it seems like for every happy person theirs a sad,
Sometimes it seems like the good is balanced by the bad,
If you don’t understand then think of this,
Without pain and suffering, would there ever be bliss?
If no one was ever afraid would any one ever be brave?
If there weren't any rules would you ever behave?
If no one was slow would any one be smart?
If every one loved you, would you feel it in your heart?
So if bad makes good, does that make good bad?
If you ever feel happy it’s because you’ve felt sad,
Does this mean that only a truly sad person can ever be truly happy?
And that only a truly happy person has ever felt truly crappy?
No.
It’s called love
