Growing Older

by Serena   Jun 2, 2005

I work hard, and try to do good in school,
but even though I do my best,
it isn't good enough for you.

I fold the laundry, and do what you ask,
but then you complain of having too many tasks.

I ask if you need help, what can I do.
You tell me no there's nothing,
but I know that isn't true.

I know this is hard. That you're trying to be independent, but why don't you take off the *in*
and become abit more dependent.

I'm growing up, I know that's hard for you,
but as I grow older,
there's more things that I can do.
