A Whisper Away

A WHISPER AWAY

I can hear you all around me,
as I rise off to the light,
but I can't make a sound,
to let you know that I'm alright..

These shackles that I have carried,
with me for all these years
begin melting from my lucid mind,
with your heartfelt tears...

I try to reach you
just to calm your weary soul,
but now I am just essence,
as my body lies there cold..

The breathe of life has left my body,
but my spirit now can fly,
I wish I could just tell you
my love, I'll never die...

I am now each and every whisper,
of the wind among the trees,
the silent raindrops on the lake,
the delicate summer breeze..

The people I loved gather here,
with heartfelt smiles upon their face,
they have come to take me home,
to our eternal place...

But when I see my loved ones there,
feeling desolate and aw-ashed with grief,
I shed a tear, for i am here
and my life with you was brief..

And in this sacred moment,
I see the meanings of life,
you are on earth but for a moment,
and this is the peace I take with me tonight...

For as I see you weeping,
and can feel your hearts despair,
your sorrow lays heavily on your brow,
and your burden I cannot share..

If I could only let you know,
the relief of coming home,
my spirit is now dancing,
and your heart is now my home...

For every waking moment,
of your life I'll always be,
standing right beside you,
for all eternity
