What was I supposed to do?
Walk out of your life?
Pretend I didn’t care?
End it all, with a knife?

What was I supposed to do?
Cut my skin?
Make myself bleed?
Watch the world spin?

What was I supposed to do?
Pretend I didn’t hear?
Act like nothing happened?
Like I didn’t shed a tear?

What was I supposed to do?
Wait here for you to come?
Sit here alone?
Wonder what I’ll become?

What was I supposed to do?
Put my life to an end?
Kill myself?
Kill my only friend?

Tell me!
What was I supposed to do?
Because if your life was like mine..
You’d probably kill yourself too.
