Wish away

by Timothy   Jun 6, 2005

A mortal dread,
Hiking up your covers, feeling no security in your bed;
A serpent's tongue flicker, because daddy is near,
You feel his kiss, but the stale-sweat lust is very queer.

Wish away! Wish away!
Whisk away all the bad things that happened to you;
Wish away! Wish away!
And hope the Lord sees you through.

A horrid sense,
The truth revealed, and what will be the expense?
The life has gone from your child in your arms,
The doll is limp, you couldn't save her from harm.

Wish away! Wish away!
Wash away all that you know is true;
Wish away! Wish away!
Pinch your eyes shut to what will surely ensue.

An utter despair,
Pain has been your lifelong confidant, it has always been there;
It stands as your silhouette, casting away from the sun,
Your only decision left is: the rope, the pills, or the gun?

Wish away! Wish away!
Blow away like smoke, as the life essence is released with the popping of the cork;
Wish away! Wish away!
The ending of the tragedy of life, because you chose your path at the fork.
