It was when we were young,
that we had so many dreams,
and believed each and every one of them could come true.
It was when our mothers and fathers would read us stories,
of fairy tales,
and living happily ever after.
We all had an image of life,
as being beautiful and something that could never cause pain,
as we stood and waited for our prince to arrive.
Our prince didn't arrive,
only the harsh truth of what this life is like.
No more dreams,
no more happy endings,
only pain and tears come to meet us.
I wish i could go back to what it used to be like,
where i actually believed,
in a thing called happiness.
I have a broken heart and it cannot be fixed.
i want to exchange my life,
for the one Ive always dreamed of,
a fairytale..
