Angelic Symphony

by Richard Alan   Jun 7, 2005

"Angelic Symphony"

Captivation, devastation,

Feelings that are there,

Agitation, deprivation,

Feelings I cant share,

Drawn into enchantment,

From your solitary smile,

Bewildered by it’s beauty,

And enveloped in it’s style,

Your exquisite eyes lay rest,

To all my sorrow, fear, and pain,

They’ve stripped away my many scars,

So doubt doesn’t remain,

You’ve freed me from my burden,

A lonely prison filled with hate,

But I’m trapped within our future,

And I’m sealed inside its fate,

Miserable bliss is what we live,

Craving one another’s kiss,

And even patiently as we wait,

It’s still tragically that we miss,

Broken dreams and shattered souls,

That we pass along the way,

Cant hold us back or pull us down,

From reaching our *Someday*

Because from sunsets to the stars,

That always make us so elate,

It’s their wonder and their beauty,

That we both appreciate,

We’re so thankful for this life,

And its free beauty everywhere,

Yet with all it’s wonderful treasures,

It still cannot compare,

To the feeling that I get,

When it’s your beauty that I see,

It’s like being called to heaven,

By an angelic symphony…

I am in love with this poem. LOL. It was beyond beautiful. I loved the concept, the flow, and the fantastic imagery. The emotion in it is so strong that it latched on to me after the first line. As I said before you have a wonderful way of captivating the reader with the emotions and strengths of your words. You are truly a marvelous poet. I love reading your work. In my opinion this is actually publishing material. I look forward to seeing a poetry book with your name on it at my local book store. : )

    Keep writing Hun!
