Taken

by Kathryn   Jun 8, 2005

You said you'll love me forever,
that I had been your everything.
Now it's all taken from me,
pulled out of my life.
The rain starts to fall,
as tears come down my cheeks.
With your picture in my hand,
I look at the world and see changes.
Never again will I have you to hold,
or to say the simple words "I love you."
I sit down and write you a letter,
so you know just how I truly feel.
I kiss the paper and send it off,
I can't forget about you anymore.
My heart is so broken,
I think of everything we had.
I can't stand the pain,
so I put it to my head.
I say "I'll love you till I die,"
then I pull the trigger.
I laid on that cold floor,
alone and helpless.
News spread of my death,
you didn't cry a single tear.
When I was finally laid to rest,
you weren't there; just a memory in mind.
You'll never know what you really meant,
you didn't say the last good-bye.
Your life goes on and I'm just,
a lost memory in your heart.
