Genuine Fake

by Alba Miranda   Jun 9, 2005

Call me all you wish
Selfish spoiled or never pleased
It won’t make walking away any more of an ease
It won’t erase all the pain you caused
Or decrease the torment you brought
The tables have turned
You have now been burned
You molded a relationship out of lies
Took stupid opportunities when they arose
Thought you could fool me and get away
Thought I would be the kind to stay
I must admit, you deserve a trophy for outstanding actor
Love, I’ve come to believe was never a factor
You were not meant to be
You were wrongfully send to me
Somewhere, somehow our paths crossed
By your side half of myself I lost
You were a mistake
Nothing more than a genuine fake
I want you out of my life
Learn to accept I will never become your wife
Trust was always an issue
You brought to use too many tissues
Little did I know I was wasting my time
Believing you could be just mine
We will always know who was to blame
In your conscience will always rest shame
Face you loss
You brought this onto yourself at a very high cost
Finally, feelings are laid to rest
You are someone I will always detest
