Why

Stars are in the sky tonight,
And somehow I still can't see.
I open my eyes as wide as I can,
But everything is still so dark.

I try to feel my way around,
But I just can't feel a thing.
I try to hit the wall to feel,
But pain is gone from me.

I stand outside to smell the air,
And yet can't smell a thing.
I take a deep breath inside myself,
Yet somehow I can't scream.

I try to close my eyes again,
And all I can see is you.
I try to hear the sounds of life,
But all I ever hear is you.
