The Mark Upon Our Hearts

Here is a heart felt wish for us
that we may find nothing but
peace and joy in our new love.

That hate and violence may never
come to disturb our tranquility.
That the sun will always find
a way to brighten our days even
when the clouds fill the sky.

That when the rain falls may it
bring back memories to us
as we listen to its sweet melody.

That when the storms of winter
rattle the ground may the walls
of our hearts protect us through
their strength and integrity.

That when the moon casts its
light upon us in the night may it
find us in untroubled slumber.

That when our friends come to call
may they bring us many moments
of laughter, companionship and comfort.

And when the sounds of love spring
Forth, may they echo softly within
our souls and make a mark upon our
hearts that will be filled with the
memory of that moment forever.
