Angel of Mine

by Laura   Jun 13, 2005

If I wasn’t so naïve,
Maybe I would not have been blind to see.
All along the stranger standing beside me,
Is the dark shadow from all of my dreams?

There should be no shock or surprise,
When I look deep into his eyes.
He lifts my spirit to the next level and sets my soul free,
He treats me like I should be royalty.

He lingers in my mind all day and I can never stop thinking of him,
A new life I wish together we could begin.
For the stranger has changed into a dear friend,
I wish a message to him I could send.

So quickly that we have grown real close,
It is for him that I do care for the most.
But will I ever get the courage to give him this message?
I wish I could whisk him away on a mystical voyage.

Where we could explore the white sandy beaches,
Sitting under the moonlight as my hair flows in the warm breezes.
Staying up all night to catch the beautiful sunrise,
Conversations non-stop as together we theorize.
