You Know

by Yishai Bloch   Jun 15, 2005

You know how much I love you,
you know how much I care.
You know how much I miss you,
you know how I need you here.

I know that I can't have you,
I'll probably never hold you again.
I know that you've moved on,
you are now happy once again.
I know that I'll never kiss you,
not the way we used to kiss.
I know that I should just let go,
not dwell on the moments I miss.
I know that I can't win you back,
and to be honest I'd never try.
I know that you are happy now,
that's why I said goodbye.

You know how much I love you,
you know how much I care.
You know how much I miss you,
you know how I need you here.

I knew that I couldn't give you,
all those important things you need.
I knew that you wouldn't let me,
kiss you while you sleep.
I knew that I couldn't have you,
I mean you heart and everything.
I knew that you said you loved me,
but that didn't mean a thing.
I knew that even though it hurt,
I would have to say goodbye,
I knew that I can't live without you,
but now I don't have a choice.

You know how much I love you,
you know how much I care.
You know how much I miss you,
you know how I need you here.

You know I would have been true,
but that never really mattered.
You know I would have cared for you,
from now until we're older.
You know I would have held you,
every night and every moment.
You know I would have kissed you,
until you never doubted.
You know I would have been there,
for all you problems and dilemmas.
You know I would have offed myself,
a shoulder for you to cry on.

You know how much I love you,
you know how much I care.
You know how much I miss you,
you know how I need you here.
