Playing the Game

by Ð맆îñ¥   Jun 16, 2005

Like a careless toe in a minefield
The new blasted out
Couldn’t contain the pressure
Something had to give

They know whose arms I lie in
When the stars are in the sky
They all want to know
How I made them mine

They could never understand
They see it as a joke
We’ll just play their game
Tell some minors, pretend we want the fame

And they swarm like flies to hear us speak
They thought I stood alone
Didn’t notice our hands together
Keeping close as we discuss
The reaction to the news
