I lie awake on this long dark night
And I can't seem to tame my mind
As the black brings back the memories
i can't seem to leave you behind.

Your letters all but fall apart
But each night I'll read them again
I'm reminded of what you say
"I love you", but that was then.

As days go by I grow colder
