Thank God for Souls...

by Eden   Jun 17, 2005

Smitten on this battleground
Seemed to die a scream...no sound.
Die to live and live to die
To lose is the enemy's gain...nice try.
Breathe the nothingness of eternity.
The only thing you can do is see.
Even this, a gift of sustenance...
...Is not enough to save this sword's balance.
To climb hell's tree to see the sky
Once more you fall...bones break...you cry.
We stand here, just watching you...
See our apathy? Your faith we screw.
Petty demons here and there...
...We mock you with our impish stare.
So see what your death has accomplished?
Nothing! You fool...your life and soul we demolished.
So now you see better...no? Indeed.
Well, no matter. You'll find out in time's speed.

We mean to crush you for all your soul's worth...
...You regret God making your birth.
So hear our cackles...here them...so...
Our stench, you can tell, is of God's dead crow.

So here you lie and here we watch...
...Stuck in this desolate hell notch.
Cry and scream and scratch and beat
...The faster you run...the more bloody our treat.
