The shiny, sharp blade

by Theresa   Jun 18, 2005

She sits in the dark corner all alone
With nothing but a shiny sharp blade
Her life is ruined
Her trust is denied
Her family is dead
And her heart is broken
She doesn't know what to do
This is her only choice
She looks at the blade
So beautiful it is
The scent, the weight, the damage it holds
She can sense the future
The one without her
The one that will be marvelous once she's gone
How many people she will make happy
How many people will cheer
How many people will be at her funeral
Or will she remain here?
In the dark, crisp corner
With the shiny sharp blade
She opens her eyes for they were before closed
All she sees are tears
Her eyes are red, swollen, and heavy
After effects of the many sleeping pills she consumed
Her fury builds up
Shes mad at the world
Her family left her WHY DID THEY LEAVE HER!!??
Her boyfriend beat her WHY DID HE HURT HER!!??
Her friends betrayed her
She trusts nothing
Nothing except for the shiny sharp blade
With a scream of anger and sadness and loneliness
The blade is struck in her chest
No pain she feels
No feeling at all
Her ocean blue eyes turn wide and blank
She falls to her side
And is left to die
One friend remains...
One friend she has made...
The shiny sharp blade...
Her life...it has taken
