If Only

by *black*and*white*   Jun 18, 2005

If only, if only
The lost, poor girl whispers.
Everyone was happy,
Without money or furs.

I'm glad I'm alive,
Howl the dog cold and wet,
I have no home,
But I will never fret.

I may be alone,
Whispers the only cloud in the sky.
But I am closer to heaven,
So I will never cry
