Father's day poem (to my dad)

by cant sleep   Jun 19, 2005

Father’s day is here,
Right now,
And to show how much I care,
I vow:

To try to always
Clean my room,
Dust, wipe,
And even vacuum.

Fighting with my siblings,
Nah.
I’ll even be nice
To ma and pa.

I’m out of trouble,
(Just for today),
And my loud music,
I will not play.

Maybe everyday,
I annoy,
But today I won’t constantly repeat,
Like a broken toy.

I enjoy the fact
That you haven’t killed me yet.
And the fact you haven’t,
I wont forget.

I also vow
That I will not stray.
And I know that if I run away,
I’ll come back and get killed anyways

Through all my habits,
That annoy you and bother,
I’m still glad,
That you are my father.

Happy fathers day,
To you I bid,
Aren’t you glad you had me,
For your little kid?
