Sometimes you make me want to cry
From all the words you say
And I’m still not sure why
I always let you get your way.

I’m sick of the lies that you tell me
And the way that you seem not to care
Because all the feelings that you may lack
I just want to be able to share.

I know everyone thinks I’m happy
And you’re the perfect guy for me
But I never tell them
They will never be able to see.

Maybe if you treated me right
And gave me the time of day
Then maybe I wouldn't be up at night
Crying in dismay.

But my feelings go unheard
And the bruises are unseen
Yet I still love you
Because this is what you do to me.

I don’t think you mean to hurt me
But yet you continue too
Because you’ve broken my heart twice now
And you still don’t have a clue.

So I will continue to cry at night
Not letting anyone see my tears
So as not to worry anyone
I will hide away all those fears.

But I will still hope for the day
That you might see
That you might lose this girl
This girl that loves you, ME!
