When mother nature smiled

by SWAPNIL SAWANT   Jun 20, 2005

Slithering through the traffic,
Piercing through the pollution,
Awaited a sight,
To my weary eyes it gave unadulterated delight!
The canvas was sprayed with silvery gray,
The white haze gulfed the peaks,
Lush green fields lit by sun streaks.
Birds flying in formation,
Couldn’t help a joyous exclamation!!!!!
A gentle breeze,
Made me feel at ease.
Worries, tension, cluttered mind.
All in that moment did freeze.
The temperature was uniquely cold,
My heart got a much-needed warmth,
The wise silence of the site,
Defeated the deafening voices in my thoughts
The journey was for mortal miles,
The joy is revivingly immortal
When Mother Nature smiles!!
