A Fiend of Paper and Ink

by Green Maiden   Jun 21, 2005

I’m snowed in, I cannot move.
With my every breath it threatens to crush me.
How can I do anything?
It’s a deluge, a flood,
A monstrous leviathan of the darkest deeps
Waiting to swallow me up.
It’s a mountain range,
Its inky peaks jagged and ripping in the harsh light of day.
It’s a vile creeper, a parasite,
Choking off what little hope I have left.
It’s hideous, it’s frightening,
It’s towering, it’s a thousand strong.
Yes, that’s right-
My coursework is threatening to engulf me.
