Another Bad Day (Acrostic)

by Nici   Jun 21, 2005

As I woke up this morning, from the same side of my bed
Nothing seemed to block the sad thoughts inside my head
Of course I wanted to be happy, smile all through the day
Though it looks as if I haven’t managed to cover up the grey
How did I reach this point, where I struggle to survive?
Eternally reminded of my lack to stay alive
Remembering those days when I was young and care free

Before I started to feel sad, almost constantly
And when I was able to wear a smile on my face
Dress it up with happiness, like decorative lace

Don’t you think I want my old life back again?
All my days to be happy, like they were then
You’re so wrong; I just can’t make it happen!
