One Kiss

by TattooedPierced   Jun 22, 2005

Darkness falls upon the sky
As sheets blind thine eyes.
The day has fallen short once again,
For the sun has met its timely end.
Breathless bodies, we lay still as if dead
So still, so quiet lying in our bed.
Time leaves us alone not a minute wasted
Everything seen between us, our kisses, many tasted.
Words not whispered within the dark
Just words that our spoken between our hearts.
I lay next to you and you next to me
However the dark hides each of us, neither of us sees.
Not seeing does not mean things don’t exist
For when I am with you I feel there’s no risk.
I am safe in your arms and your love guards me too
Because of the love in my heart I trust you.
Not only does my heart allow my trust
It allows me to love you, as I must.
Only for you does my heart reach out like this
And only you can make me feel all of this with just one kiss.
That one kiss was the start of something I thought could not come true
But I guess I was wrong because now I have you.
