She stood there quietly
As he took his hand away
A tear rolling down her cheek
Cause there was nothing left to say

Watching him walk away
Slowly, but then he was gone
Looking around desperately
This had to be wrong

She thought he would come back
Because he said he’d never leave
As much as she tried to protect her heart
It was him who she believed

She searches her mind
What did she do wrong?
What did she say
Why is he gone

So she walks back home
In the freezing, pouring rain
Without saying a word
She goes up to her room

She looks in the mirror
Tears falling down
She tries so hard to smile
But it turns into a frown

Falling on her bed
Slowly closing her eyes
Wishing for tomorrow
Wanting her old life

Hugging her teddy
Gripping his photo in her hand
She tries so hard not to cry
She tries to understand

He said he loved her
Now she knows that it’s a lie
Frowning oh so slightly
She tries to say good-bye.
