I'm over it

So the pain is gone and I'm over it.
It took a while but i finally did it.
Now I can think of you and not be sad,
Because I'll only think of the good memories, not the bad.
So now I'll just be looking for a new friend
A new friend who will be there forever.
Someone who won't hurt me
Someone who will help me endeavor
Now I'm turning on a new leaf
I'm Going to college now
I'm starting over new
I can't keep feeling down
It's not helping me at all
All it does is make me drown
So here i am a brand new person
Pretending that you never hurt me
