Rigid Edge Remedy

by Shædow Poet   Jun 23, 2005

And there sat, my heart
Clay painted with purple patterns-
Of death dances and butchered babies
With tears of explanations,
Imagination- my mind was…
Fading.

And staring, were my eyes
I could see me, blindly panicking
The cords twisted and tangled with claret
I could not see it was blood and veined
My hands grasped on the round object
Quickly cooling, shedding melody-
Drying.

Gas filled the air, it was my sorrow
I could see the array of vermilion and peach
They smelt stale, not sweet, like flour
Before soon, I forgot how to inhale
Clods infused and wheezed my arteries
Unjustly, I flapped for a life source-
Loosing.

And then came, the vomit
My mouth tasted like an acidic monsoon
Interjecting a tongue of words that were foul
My glands were crying with horror
I dropped, eyeless, heartless, breathless
I was consumed in a pool of sully
Slowly sleeping, strengthening heaven-
Idling.

And then I could see, my killer
He was not but 15, watching with a giggle
Eyes of large black bullets, a grin of insanity
My best friend, consumed by ecstasy
Gulping more illegal substances
That which he injected me-
Into a peace less, painful slumber
That will not evolve.
Dying.

Intense writing! The language was used with great care, the second last lines of the paragraph don't flow perfectly, but it is still a very strong peace of work. Great Job! Keep writing, you have a real talent for it!
