Winter Kill

by Kaye   Jun 28, 2005

Autumn leaves fall in winter
Frostbite trees and the wood splinters
Red, yellow, orange and brown
We watched the leaves swirl and rain down

Winter comes, the end is near
Hold onto those you hold dear
The frost swoops and comes to take hold
The fire flickers and goes cold

Snowflakes kiss eyelashes and nose
No longer shall bloom the rose
A walk when winter comes through
In another life, I'll see you
