Implosion.

by Foresaken_Tears   Jun 29, 2005

Something's pounding at my chest,
I cannot make it leave,
Someone's tearing out my heart,
Yet still I cannot bleed.

The growing hole inside of me,
has swallowed all my pride,
And every ounce of happiness,
Has curled up tight and died.

And escape from wicked solitude,
Won't warm me with it's glow,
No tears roll from these cheeks tonight,
Emotions cease to flow.

Salvation never looks m way,
He pays me not a glance,
Now the flame that's burned for seventeen years,
Will terminate it's dance.

And still the cold, Grey fingers grasp,
What they perceive as hope,
Forever falling backwards down,
The slipperiest of slopes.

As mind and body drift apart,
The twist of separation,
Plays with these thoughts one final time,
In my desolate, desperation.

The colours soon will start to fade,
And memories will forget,
The dying soul within us all,
The friend you've never met.
