Behind Is Sad Eyes

It lives in his sad eyes
when things are going wrong
his secrets have been hidden
deep for far too long.

I see it in his sad eyes
full of hope and fears
the sadness still shows
without a drop of a tear.

His sad eyes bring out
how hard his life can be
even when his eyes are looking
straight at me.

Only I can see through his
disguise where he hides
behind his sad brown eyes.
