A Poem To All Adults

by Temptation   Jun 29, 2005

You really don't get it, do you?
I'm no angel, yes, it's true
I'm not a child anymore but you can't see
Simply because you don't know me
I'm almost an adult, 16 years old
Findig my place in the world, out in the cold
Grown up, if you didn't know
You've got to learn to let me go
Sometimes you're the one who's wrong, there's no need to shout
Stop treating me like I'm five, I need to get out
Every move I make, each step I take
You yell at me as if I made another mistake
You're suffocating me with every word you say
Now more than ever I need to break away
You're filling me up with anger & hate
Can't reach me now because it's too late
There's nothing you can do
I'm living my life how I want to !
