Blown in the wind

Blown in the Wind.

When I think back,
On all the choices that I’ve made,
All the mistakes that I can no longer change,
All the good times,
They’re all blown in the wind.

My first day of school,
With my parents fussing over me,
Making sure I had my pencils,
We were all so happy,
All of that is blown in the wind.

The time came for sleep-away camp,
Checking my packing list for the umpteenth time,
I was so excited until,
Daddy moved out, I only had mommy left,
Those memories are all blown in the wind.

Loosing friends and making new ones,
Hating teachers and loving school,
Discovering music,
And loosing myself in novels,
All blown in the wind.

But now I have the choice,
To change my future,
To see my daddy,
And to love my teachers and hate school,
None of that has blown in the wind.

I dunno, I was thinking about my past…
