Look What You've Done

by mary   Oct 28, 2003

I want back my heart
The one you tore apart
The one that loved you more than you could imagine
The heart you hurt so bad to points I cannot fathom
I want back my joy
The one you played with like a toy
My joy you took and did more than destroy
I want back my smile
The one I used when you were true
And not in denial
The one that I used when you made me happy
And when I used to be sappy
I want back my life
The one I lived
When you were by my side
The one I had
When you treated me right
I want my confidence back
The one you stole with those words
The one you tore down with curses
The confidence I had before I met you
The confidence I had, to up and leave you
But most of all I want myself back
I want to get out of this lonely trap
I want to be the person I once loved
Instead of the person I’m afraid of
I want to be able to love again
You hurt me so bad
I might never see the end
I want to be able to laugh
You ripped away my joy too fast
I want to be able to live
I want to be able to give
I want to have strength to go on
I want you to see what you’ve done
