Your Pool of Sorrow

by Liquid Dreams   Jul 4, 2005

When you are little
You want your life to be the best
Then as you grow older you see
That your life is put to the test

You're faced with all this hardship
Torn between two sides
You never can understand
And sometimes you just hide

When others try to help
You get scared and just hold back
Never even realizing
That they could help you get on track

So in your world you sit
Tired and all alone
Sick of the world you live in
Sick of your world at home

You get tired of all the people
Tired of all the lies
Sometimes you think it would be easier
If you could just say goodbye

Depressed and sad and angry
Not wanting to let others in
You sit in your pool of delusion
Sitting in your pool of sin

Pretending that you're okay
Isn't always easy
You know it's not the real you
And it just seems fake and cheesy

It's hard to let the others in
You don't know how they'll respond
They could hate you and despise you
Or you could form a long, true bond

You hate being in this position
Not knowing what's truth or lies
Your sick of all the secrets
And sick of all these ties

Everything holding you back
From the person you want to be
The person you thought you were
The person that you can't see...

Will your life ever get better?
Will it just keep getting more destroyed?
Should you just open up?
Or will you be one to avoid?

You can't understand your life
You think you should just die
But you sit in your pool of sorrow
Sitting there to cry
