Dear God (My friend's perspective-true story!)

~*~ This is written in perspective of my friend Angie as if she were writing this poem...~*~

Dear God,

I don't understand why my parents fight
They never used to, it just doesn't seem right
No one really knows they do
I guess it's just us God - me and you

Do my friends parents fight God?
Or is it just mine that are odd?
Right now things are so hard.
Please help my heart be not scarred

I finally opened up today to a friend or two
It isn't just me - other families are screwed up, too!

Thank you for giving me someone to talk to
It's nice to have another who feels the same way I do

Dear God,

Please help - my daddy's really sick
We didn't see it coming, it happened oh so quick
Daddy has a disease, God and it's rare
I just don't understand - it doesn't seem fair

His life will be shortened and he might not live long
Please intervene and help us be strong
Mom and Dad are not fighting now
I just hope you can heal Dad somehow

Please help me, God, I\'m about to break
I don't think there is much more that I can take.
