Fallen angel

The fallen angel sits alone
hiding from their judging eyes
she sits with scabbed wings
hidden by her own lies.

her halo slowly faded away
and with it, her soul
she sits with a coal black heart
colder than you're ever know.

all she wanted was love
and to feel cared
but all you did was mock and taunt
and pretend she wasn't there.

the angel's starlight eyes
faded to a cold stare
all she wanted was for somebody
to notice she was there.

she slowly faded into the shadows
and disappeared from life
turning to her only friend
her sharp pointy knife.
