Forgotten

by Caitlyn   Jul 6, 2005

You walked by me
Never glancing or saying hello
But I remember you
I know it was along time ago
We used to play together
Beside our big oak tree
I remember we carved are names
And said, “We always will be.”
We were best friends forever
Or that’s what we had said
Then we drifted off stopped being friends instead
We never did stay in touch
Maybe a few phone calls
But after awhile, talking got old
We went our separate ways
Never telling each other bye
I got married, had three kids
You got married and then divorced
I wish you could remember all the times that we shared
But I have been forgotten in your care
I will always remember the memories
And hope you will sometime too
Because they were such blessed times
That I am glad I shared with you
