The Day My Soul Found Its Mate

by Loneliness Is A State Of Mind   Jul 8, 2005

Today is a day of happiness,
cuz it was the start of something great.
A year ago, today was the day,
my soul finally found its mate.

Completely random as it was,
it turned out to be Gods blessing.
And for once in my life,
it wasn't something depressing.

I found my guardian angel,
who met my every expectation.
She shone light on all of my shadows,
bringing me to my salvation.

She always made me feel safe,
when I was in need of protection.
And always showed her burning love,
with such delightful affection.

I loved her more than anything,
thats why she was the one I chose.
She was perfection in every way,
from her head down to her toes.

We became dangerously close,
it was no longer a friend thing.
Our love hastily blossomed,
till the point it was never ending.

We were simply inseparable,
two souls merged together by love.
We fit together so perfectly,
just like a hand in a glove.

Our love is such a combination,
of trust, rapture, and purity.
Thats why I have no doubt in mind,
our love will last an eternity.

Theres no two on this Earth like us,
our sacred bond nothing can sever.
She is there for me, I'm there for her,
no matter wherever, whenever.

There are the ups and downs at times,
but no relationship is a ball.
We still manage to pull through,
because our love conquers all.

I couldn't describe to you,
a more perfect match than us.
Were waterproof and stainless steel,
so our love could never rust.

Its clear we belong together,
I can see it written in fate.
Every since that one sweet day,
the day my soul found its mate.

* Written last night. It is for our anniversary on the 10th (Sunday), so I typed this up in advance to get other peoples views on it. I am not sure how it is really, but I would appreciate any feedback, comments, or votes just to let me know what you guys think of it. I will return the favor.
