Murky Walls

by A.Hill   Jul 8, 2005

Teenagers trapped
Inside these murky walls.
Trying to walk on our own,
But stumble and fall.
Wondering if
Anyone cares at all.

That on the inside
We're crying for help.
Because we can't find peace
Within ourselves,
Growing up near
This ghetto realm.

Praying every night,
Hoping God will hear me.
Wishing He'd listen
And set us all free.
Because I know this
Isn't my destiny.
No this could not
Have been meant to be.
Because this is not
What we're supposed to see.
