A Broken Soul

Her heart was broken,
her smile was fading away,
scars became visible
all because he didn't stay.

her eyes were red and puffy
from crying for her sorrow
she would dread for the time to come
the time for tomorrow

she was a lonely girl
who once fell in love
but she was ripped of it
it flew away like a dove

she always thought of him,
and how they were together
and how they would be back again
and lasting forever

but that never happened,
still she waited for that day
she didn't know it wasn't coming
for the time drifted away.

after 3 long months
of grueling pain
she finally took her life
cause she couldn't have him again

she began to cut herself
while everyone was asleep
purposely she cut at the same place
making it long and very deep

once she felt like it was deep enough
she breathed in and closed her eyes
she placed a note beside her
a farewell after she died

early in the morning
her parents found her drowning in blood
they read the note beside her
and found out she died for love

they gave the note to her ex
who read it again and again
he didn't know he did this to her
he caused her so much pain

what she wrote on the note
was everything in her head
she poured her heart onto it
and this is what it said

"Eric i still love you,
that's why i took my love
because i would never be you girl,
fiance or even wife"

"the blood, tears and scars,
would never match the pain when i lost you,
i felt alone, scared, in a dark hole,
i always felt blue"

"dying was an escape,
i needed to be free
don't worry about me Eric,
don't pray for me"

"Goodbye Eric,
Remember i still love you"
Little did she know
He still loved her too
