Description of an Angel

by Wintersolstice   Jul 9, 2005

I who am not worthy
Will try to describe your glory:
Illuminated by the sun always
As if from a fairy story

Hair like polished bronze
With a wave and natural hold
Eyes nocturnally large,
Deep hazel with lightning gold

Skin pale like milk, yet tanned
Alight with the suns essence
Lips pink, moist-a rain soaked rose
You grace us with your presence

Tall yet lean, your clothes are cool
But they try to mask your complexion
No use. Indeed you are so beautiful
Royalty should bow to you-perfection

If you ask me to describe an angel
I would not pause to think it through
Because, it is true-no question
I'd answer with one word-You.
