Hypothetically

by Jamin Huchingson   Jul 11, 2005

What if I told you I miss you
I wasn’t thinking about the direct effect
It was just neglect
Hypothetically of course
What if I told you, you’re my inspiration, my source

Hypothetically of course,
Would you want to know
What If I confessed, I’m under some duress
You kept me calm, with you, nothing is wrong

Supposedly it wasn’t meant to be
But Hypothetically,
I don’t believe
Would you want to know
Should I just walk away
Hypothetically of course,
What would you say

When you lied
Did you sincerely not mean it
When we had an agreement
Not to see another

Hypothetically of course
Why did you smother
Me when all along
You were treating me wrong

What would you want me to do
If I told you,
Hypothetically of course
That I loved you, and it didn’t matter
If I had to choose being without you,
And keeping my pride, or
Sticking it through
I’d choose the latter

Hypothetically of course
What would you do
What would you choose
Or would you even what to hear,
What I have to say
Hypothetically of course
I don’t really know what to do
Should I keep believing
Knowing that I’ve been deceived
But my heart says I should,
Still believe
Hypothetically of course

I can’t force
My heart to believe
That you won’t come back to me
But hypothetically would you
Listen if I tried to tell you
I love you hypothetically of course.
