Her eyes were brimming with tears
And she has to blink them away
She have to, for no one there really cares
Choose to breakdown and cry, she may
Or retaliate and give what is due
But wisdom tells her
Neither will work for the better, at least not now
To compose herself and be silent
Is the wisest thing to do
A calm and humble exit would do
So silent, she was
With the mightiest effort she can drew out of her heart
For her pride, she did
Slowly tear her eyes away from the awful view
She stood up as if nothing is amiss
And walked praying she wouldn't fall
Or trip over something and stumble
She needs to make it to the door
Through the crowd, through her beau
A plain and common exit would do
But she's dying inside
The pain is so great, she's dying to cry
If only they knew how much pain he inflicted
What he put her through with such ease
And in her mind she's asking why
"I have been good to you, haven't I?"
But it doesn't really matter now
No explanation will suffice
For what difference would it make to you
A sad and painful exit would do
Finally with what seems like forever
She reached the exit and found solitude
Without looking back she moved away
Thankful that she can pretend no more
Because the tears she's been holding back started rolling uncontrollably
The feeling can't be suppressed anymore
And even if she walks a thousand miles
They'll keep pouring indifinitely
But with a forced knowing smile she knew
her exit will haunt him, and soon he'll make his exit too
