Broken Shadows

Behind the broken shadows
lies all alone
A freak who must live on her own.

Another hollow reflection
everything inside is gone
emptiness dwells in her soul
Nothing can make her whole.

Sees herself in the shattered glass
Staring back at her is this hideous mask
She simply can not escape
Her heart has been murdered and raped.

In death's mournful shadows
is where she remains
Standing in the pouring rain
suppressing all of her pain.

Tears mean nothing when they're the only ones to kiss the cheek
sorrow means nothing when its all you ever seek
pain means nothing when its all you ever felt.

Love is none existent
it no longer has a meaning
after all the pain I've been delt
heartbroken is all I've ever felt.

Drowning in deaths shadow
Its just where I belong
