Back To School (Part II)

by Alicia Biter   Jul 13, 2005

Now that school is back in session
And you know who will be your new obsession
The back-to-school excitement is no longer there
You start to know what rules to push, if you dare
You are no longer getting lost
You are even starting to remember how much you lunch will cost
You now know where most of your classes are
Finding the shortest route so you don't have to walk far
You're realizing which teachers you will like
And which ones are more likely to tell you to take a hike
You're starting to remember when the classes end
And even making one or two new friends
You are one step closer to being on top
No longer do you have to tell the upperclassmen to stop
3 more years and you'll be out of this place
Your career dreams you will then be able to chase
You can no longer stay up late
Well if you think about it that's something to debate
Now the weekends are for some much needed rest
Now you realize how much freshman really ARE a pest
You are so happy to now be a sophomore
The teasing, no longer do you have to endure
Back-to-school you no longer have to fear
Now it's just making it through one more year
