Unrequitted love

by silverwoulfe   Jul 14, 2005

I know that I hurt you,
I know that I lied,
But I can do so no longer,
The truth can't be denied.
i like you both, yes 'tis a sin
to be torn apart in two.
But it's him I love,
He owns my heart,
There's nothing I can do.
To choose between you is hard indeed,
And it's breaking me apart.
But he's the one to whom I gave my love
Right from the very start.
You came just now, you came too late,
nigh three years have been spent.
But just as quickly as you came for my love,
So just as quickly you went.
The memories that we may have had,
are happy ones, indeed.
But they can't replace the thousand more
of him whose love I need.
So heed my prayer and cleanse your heart
of your love that I betrayed,
And find someone who will stay as true
as the one you wish had stayed.
