Fragments of a Broken Mind

by silverwoulfe   Sep 12, 2007

Write broken words and thoughtless phrases
or scribbles on the walls,
See fleeting shadows and blurry faces
that aren't there at all.
Do frenzied dancing, with hands uplifted;
go gallivanting on the street.
Hear soundless voices, discordant melodies,
and a weird, distorted beat.
Feel palpitations, do oscillations
and fall down to the ground;
Watch the disappearance of visions
and hear the death of sound.
Hold the silence; breathe no further,
Revel in what you find,
Behold the man, himself his murd'rer:
fragments of a broken mind.
