Our Love

by SARAH   Jul 18, 2005

You told me that you loved me,
You told me that you cared,
You told me I was beautiful,
The proof was the way you stared.

I thought that we were meant to be,
We had a love that was so strong,
I thought you were my soul-mate,
Now I know that I was wrong.

You started to avoid me,
You treated me like dirt,
But I still loved you,
Dispite all of the hurt.

If you still fully believe,
That our true love can be,
All you have to do is call,
And show me that you love me.

As I sit here writing this,
My face dripping wet with tears,
I realize now,
My greatest fears.

I'm afraid to lose you,
I'm afraid to be alone,
Afraid to end our relationship,
To throw away the years in which we've grown.

As I look up at the stars each night,
Before I go to bed,
I see images of you,
Spinning in my head.

I love you now the same way,
That I did from the start,
And if you asked me right now,
I'd surely give you back my heart.
