What A Girl Wants

by Tarikins   Jul 18, 2005

There she is, in her torn up jeans;
Runny make up and messy hair.
Band shirts and rubber bracelets;
Looking like she just doesn't care.

Screaming music down to the song;
That makes her cry alone in her room.
Spending nights looking up at the stars;
And whispering to the man on the moon.

A pad lock around her neck;
And chains around her wrists.
True to herself;
Defending what she believes in with clenched fists.

She tries not to love too much;
Because she's afraid to.
She's failing at school;
And with her family too.

But all she wants is someone to see her;
And whisper, "Perfect."
